Our ideal project

Not answered yet. After claiming, builders confirm answers to: What is your ideal project size and type? What do you decline? What do you need from a client before quoting? How do you handle variations? When can you start?

Before you hire

Ask for a written, itemised quote, a signed contract, proof of insurance and the licence numbers of the people doing restricted building work. For residential work of $30,000 or more including GST, the builder must give you a disclosure statement and checklist. See MBIE Building Performance: before building work starts (your rights) and MBIE Building Performance: consumer protection, disclosure statement and checklist.
