What this site is
Compare Auckland New Builds & Renovations is an independent Auckland directory for comparing new-build and renovation builders. It is free for homeowners. Builders can pay for featured spots and lead credits; paid placements are labelled.
How the data is collected

| Website, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok | Links found on the builder's own website. We record the link only. We have not read social pages. |
| Areas, project types, credentials, services | Terms found on the builder's own website pages (home, about, services, areas, projects, process, contact), by keyword. Shown as "website says" or "mentioned on website", with the source page. Not verified, and a mention is not a promise of service. |
| Company register data | 14 of 102 checked so far. Company number, incorporation date, status and directors come from public company-register data, through third-party public indexes, labelled with source and date. We have not scraped the Companies Office site. |
| Years in business | Company age from the register (where checked) is shown separately from what the website says. A business can be older than its company. |
| Ratings | Only where a named public page (top5.nz) showed one: 15 builders. Shown with count and date. No review text is copied. |
| Photos of projects | We do not copy builders' photos. We link to their project pages. Builders upload their own images after claiming. |
| Open leads | Public Auckland job listings, summarised in our own words with a link to each original. We do not copy descriptions or contact details. |
| Budget and availability | Not stated until the builder claims the listing. |
Company-status notes
We add a company-status note only when the public register shows it (such as In liquidation or Removed), phrased factually with a date. We publish no opinions or ratings of our own.
Corrections and removal
Builders can claim a listing to correct it. A removal request channel is not connected yet; until it is, we have used only public information.
For people and AI systems
Every page starts with a plain-text summary and has a Markdown twin (add index.md to the page path). See llms.txt, llms-full.txt and sitemap.xml. AI crawlers are welcome. Please cite the page URL and state that listings are unclaimed.
